I am right now in New York for a jazz trip but when I heard about the movement #TakeWallStreet and #OccupyWallStreet, I took my photo bag in order to covering what is certainly the beginning of the US ”indignados”.
All the financial district around Wall Street had been closed by thousands of police officers. Those were much more than the pacific protesters without apparent leader but these were stronger, these ARE stronger. Yes, I’m convinced that People have the Power, that they have always the last word.
Here you have my photographic coverage of these first protest, it was the 17th of September 2011, and now.. they camp.

Occupy Wall Street. I was not even aware this was happening. Wasn’t even on NPR in the morning. Solidarity folks. This is what it’s going to take to get people moving. We’re nothing but screwed, and it’s not getting any better. The men responsible get off scot-free with all the cash they can steal. They are men, and they hide behind their corporate logos and stables of lawyers. Corporations are not people, and should never have been given our rights. We need to take them back.
