That awkward moment when people assume all people with a uterus are female and that all people with sperm are male and assume others have a say in what goes on in their bodies.

Okay.

First off, the uterus-bearer goes through months of disgusting morning sickness. And it isn’t like, little pukey-time every morning. Try every other hour and full on “Mother fucker I think I’m going to puke up my insides.” And they get heart burn and other fun stuff.

Oh, and they feel like they’re going to piss their pants every two seconds. Gotta sneeze? Tough shit! Hope you’re wearing a Poise pad, cuz you’re peeing your undies today!

Then they get nice and big. And covered in stretchmarks. They’re basically sacrificing their body to carry a fetus. And their abs basically split down the middle and their intestines get to move around, and if they’re really lucky, the fetus decides to hit their sciatic nerve and make moving painful. Or if you’re super duper lucky like my mom, it’ll break a rib or two!

And they get to carry it for nine months! OH JOYOUS GLEE! Nine whole months of these fun activities! 

And finally, when it’s time for the little sucker to pop out, there are plenty of contractions and painful pushing to accompany that miraculous birth.

So in summary: I don’t care if somebody’s sperm was used to help create a thing in a uterus with the uterus-bearer’s eggs. The sperm donor doesn’t have to carry it for nine months and suffer any problems that come with it.

Therefore, the uterus-bearer has a fucking huge say in this, if not all of the control in the situation.

So yeah.

Man gets off of Jury Duty Because He Is Gay

A gay man in the USA was excused from jury duty in the state of New York last week because he said that discrimination against gays makes him a second-class citizen and therefore he couldn’t be impartial.

Jonathan D. Lovitz, an actor, model, and singer who will be on Logo’s upcoming show Setup Squad, wrote on his Facebook page, “I raised my hand and said, ‘Since I can’t get married or adopt a child in the state of New York, I can’t possibly be an impartial judge of a citizen when I am considered a second class citizen in the eyes of the justice system.’”

One of our good friends and LGBTI legendary columnist, Michael Musto even stated “And he got off the case!…  And that’s how the new phenomenon of ‘jury duty blocking’ was born.”

Equality for all is starting to bring up alot of interesting issues… i wonder who will be the one to take up the issue of LGBTI people paying tax as second class citizens? hmmm
